It's officially been 1 year of "Pearls from Squirrel." It's been a fun little experiment, and a good way to make sure that I dedicated at least a short time to writing each week. Thanks to all who have read it and sent me notes of encouragement. I was initially worried about finding enough spiritual lessons from a dog named Squirrel to keep a blog going, but it turns out he's not just endless entertainment...he's endless inspiration. I mean, look at that face!
It's also been four years as of January 4th since I brought my sweet boy home. Boy, did life change, especially living in a tiny apartment at the time! The photo above was the first time we met. As the song goes, "You're my baby, you're my pet. We fell in love on the night we met."
So here's to whatever new thing God has planned for my life - and for yours - this year. I'm rooting for joyous and beautiful moments for us both, but take heart - whatever lies ahead, God can and will bring good from it.
